Yas Island was turned into a magical winter wonderland, welcoming over 42,000 visitors to Yas Winter Carnival to celebrate the festive season at Gateway Park South from the 11th to 15th December making it the largest winter event in the UAE. There was non-stop festive entertainment and activities for families throughout the five-day festival including the official tree lighting ceremony and a firework extravaganza every evening lighting up the night sky over Yas Island.
Snow fell on the hour every hour as kids and families enjoyed playing in snow together and building their very own snowmen. There was non-stop entertainment on the main stage including a visit from a magical princess who invited young aspiring snow princesses on to the stage to sing along to songs from the hit Disney film Frozen. There was more fun with a mini-pantomime experience with the story of the Toymakers journey. When it was time to get active families enjoyed the thrill of the funfair and the kids’ favorite activity was the snow tubing ride.
