The Luxembourg Pavilion is delighted to partner with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Sports to offer families and friends the unique and exciting opportunity to cycle around Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi with H.E. Georges Engel, Minister of Sport and Tour de France 2010 winner, Andy Schleck.
Taking place on Friday, March 25th from 14:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs at the South Circuit of Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, the ‘Ride Your Bike for Youth, Diversity and Inclusion’ event invites residents and visitors of all ages to ‘connect and make it happen’ by joining in a community bike ride around the iconic structure of Abu Dhabi.
Designed to promote the joys of cycling and encourage the values of ‘Respect, Equity, Integrity, Honesty, Fair play, Diversity, Inclusion, Teamwork, Winning and Losing’, participants are welcome to cycle as far as they wish, whether that’s ten laps of the circuit or just one.
Welcoming members of different cycling clubs, cycling enthusiasts, children, professionals, parents and friends to all come together and enjoy a spot of exercise in the fresh air. Guests are also encouraged to browse the event’s food trucks and refuel after their cycle with some tempting culinary delights.
Alongside H.E. Georges Engel and 2010 Tour de France winner Andy Schleck, the event will feature important dignitaries from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Sports and Embassy of Luxembourg to the UAE such as Ambassador Robert Lauer, Ambassador of Luxembourg to the UAE.
The event is free to join for everyone, and complimentary water stations will be provided along the route.
Participants simply need to bring along their bicycle to join in with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride alongside a cycling legend and experience the majestic host venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in a different and unique way.
For those without a bike, a provider will be available onsite to rent some for a nominal fee.
Also running as part of the ‘Ride Your Bike for Youth, Diversity and Inclusion’ program, guests at Expo 2020 Dubai are invited to browse the fascinating ‘Luxembourg, Cycling and More’ exhibition at the Luxembourg Pavilion from March 24th to 27th. Dedicated to the country’s long and special connection with cycling, this exhibition is also complemented by the Expo Run by Luxembourg in collaboration with Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday, March 26th and the Ride the World with Luxembourg event on Sunday, March 27th.
Individuals and families wishing to participate in the ride, a pre-registration is necessarily required for the ‘Ride Your Bike for Youth, Diversity and Inclusion’ event at Yas Marina Circuit.
