Department Of Municipalities And Transport Cooperates With Leading Governmental And Semi-Governmental Entities To Enhance The General Appearance Of Abu Dhabi

The Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi announced that it has signed a service level agreement with a number of prominent governmental and semi-governmental entities to cooperate and follow up on the removal of distortions from public assets owned by these entities with the aim of preserving them, which contributes to enhancing the general appearance of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Salem Al Kaabi, Director General of Operations Affairs at the Department of Municipalities and Transport, with representatives of the agreement’s entities, His Excellency Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi, Undersecretary of the Department of Education and Knowledge, Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Salem Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Environment Agency, His Excellency Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, in addition to His Excellency Mubarak Amer Al Muhairbi, Senior Vice President of Administrative and Community Affairs at ADNOC Group, Captain Saif Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Marine, and Dr. Afif Saif Al Yafei, CEO of Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (TRANSCO), at the department’s headquarters.

Under this agreement, inspectors from the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the three municipalities (Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality and Al Dhafra Region Municipality) will conduct inspection campaigns on the infrastructure, facilities and assets of all these entities, to detect any damage or deformities that negatively affect the general appearance of the emirate. The department uses the latest technologies that help detect these deformities and enable inspectors to report them, with the aim of providing accurate and immediate information to the relevant authorities via the electronic inspection system, which helps in taking quick action.

On this occasion, Dr. Salem Al Kaabi, Director General of Operations Affairs at the Department of Municipalities and Transport , said : “Through this service level agreement, we confirm our ongoing commitment to enhancing the overall appearance of the emirate by simplifying our operations and services. Through cooperation with all governmental and semi-governmental entities, we aim to enhance the aesthetics and visual appeal of the emirate, in addition to setting new standards of excellence and innovation.”

The six entities join other government and semi-government entities in these relentless efforts to establish Abu Dhabi as a model of urban excellence. This cooperation also aims to enhance the emirate’s global reputation through world-class facilities and buildings and meticulously maintained urban landscapes.
