ADNEC Group, a Modon company, has been awarded the Majra Impact Seal – Gold Tier for Large Organisations, one of the UAE’s highest official federal recognitions for excellence in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and outstanding contributions to the UAE’s priorities.
The award was presented during the first edition of the Impact Summit 2025, organised by Majra – National CSR Fund, under the theme “Unifying the Common Good of the Nation.” Issued by Majra, the Impact Seal recognises organisations that demonstrate leading practices based on the Impact Index, which measures performance across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Majra Impact Seal reflects the UAE’s vision of building and strengthening an impact-driven economy capable of delivering positive societal outcomes. It aligns with the UAE Companies for Good 2031 Strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, said: “ADNEC Group is committed to leading by example in environmental, social and governance principles. This recognition reinforces our responsibility to support national priorities and expand our impact in line with the UAE’s long-term vision. Our focus on sustainability, social contribution and ethical governance demonstrates our dedication to creating shared value for our community and partners.”
ADNEC Group has evolved its approach to corporate social responsibility, adopting a more strategic and inclusive model for community engagement that aligns with the Group’s values and business ecosystem to deliver broader social benefits. In 2025, the Group formally launched its Social Impact Strategy and Social Impact Toolkit, establishing a unified framework to define, measure, and manage the social value generated across its operations, events, venues, tourism, media, and services ecosystem.
During the year, the Group supported more than 70,000 jobs across the UAE and contributed AED 9.2 billion in Gross Value Added to the national economy. Across its global venues, ADNEC Group hosted over 1,149 events and welcomed more than 6.3 million visitors, reinforcing its role as a major driver of business tourism, economic diversification, knowledge exchange, and community development.
ADNEC Group is committed to sustainability, with significant programmes and initiatives implemented across its portfolio. ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi and ADNEC Centre Al Ain are fully powered by clean energy, recognised by International Renewable Energy Certification. Additionally, the Group signed a 15-year power purchase agreement to develop a large-scale rooftop solar photovoltaic system at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, which, once operational, will generate approximately 8.57 million kWh of renewable electricity annually and meet nearly 30% of the venue’s electricity demand. An AI-driven Building Management System continues delivering measurable operational efficiencies across the portfolio.
In 2025, the Group achieved substantial environmental performance gains underpinning this recognition. Carbon intensity per employee was reduced by 39%, water intensity per visitor decreased by 47%, and waste diversion and recycling rates increased to 61% across the Group. All Company sites and offices are now certified to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. The Group completed development of its updated Decarbonisation Implementation Roadmap, establishing a structured pathway towards achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across operations.
Following employee best practices, ADNEC Group is committed to empowering UAE Nationals, foster Emirati talent and support local suppliers across its value chain in alignment with the UAE’s broader economic and workforce diversification objectives. ADNEC Group maintains robust governance frameworks, with governance structures overseeing ESG strategy, compliance, reporting and impact disclosure.
Receiving the Gold Tier places ADNEC Group among leading organisations driving the UAE’s sustainable impact economy and supporting the national direction. The Group remains committed to aligning with the UAE Companies for Good 2031 Strategy and its goals to advance private sector contributions to sustainable impact, strengthen the impact economy, and enhance the competitiveness of the UAE’s CSR, ESG, and sustainability ecosystem.
