The Department of Municipalities and Transport will launch the LIVEX X Roadshow at Khalidiya Park on 4 September, beginning a journey across Abu Dhabi’s three municipalities ahead of LIVEX 2026.
Based on the X within the LIVEX identity, the five-metre installation will use animated content, projections, data visualisations and lighting to show how investment and innovation are shaping everyday life across the emirate.
Following its inauguration at Khalidiya Park, the roadshow will visit Al Ain Oasis on 10 September, Al Jimi Mall on 14 September, Sheikha Salama Park Al Dhafrah on 17 September, and Yas Mall on 20 September.
Bringing LIVEX to communities
The installation will be free to visit at every stop, with no advance booking required. Visitors will be able to explore data and stories about life in Abu Dhabi, interact with the installation and take photographs. Its evening lights and projections will also offer a different experience after dark.
By taking LIVEX beyond the exhibition venue, the roadshow will give communities across the emirate an opportunity to engage with the ideas behind LIVEX 2026 before it opens at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, said: “Abu Dhabi’s progress is measured not only by the scale of investment, but by what that investment means for people in their everyday lives. The LIVEX X Roadshow takes that story into communities across the emirate before LIVEX 2026 brings the discussion to a global audience.
“Our long-term advantage is the connection between economic ambition and quality of life. When the investment makes daily lives safer, easier and more connected, Abu Dhabi becomes more attractive to residents, talent and businesses. That is the case we will make at LIVEX 2026.”
Final stop at LIVEX 2026
The roadshow will conclude at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, where the LIVEX X installation will remain throughout LIVEX 2026 from 29 September to 1 October.
Hosted by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the exhibition will bring together decision-makers, investors and experts to explore the ideas, investment and innovation shaping Abu Dhabi.
The programme will feature more than 100 international speakers, including YouTube co-founder Steve Chen, Google X and Udacity founder Sebastian Thrun, Tucker Carlson, founder of the Tucker Carlson Network, as well as environmental advocate and actor, Adrien Grenier. Sessions will cover six themes spanning liveability, culture, education, economy, energy and health.
An Investors Lounge delivered in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Mubadala will provide a dedicated setting for discussions between investors, government representatives and business leaders.
LIVEX 2026 will feature more than 40 exhibitors from over 50 countries, with more than 20,000 visitors and 1,500 investors expected to attend. The event takes place as Abu Dhabi advances AED 450 billion in investment across roads, districts, transport, utilities and public spaces.
