Etihad Guest, the award-winning loyalty programme of the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Al Etihad Payments have signed an agreement at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai to introduce new exclusive benefits for Etihad Guest members holding Jaywan Royal cards, following the airline’s move last month to become the first airline in the world to accept Jaywan as a payment method on etihad.com.
The new benefits honour the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two organisations in October last year, and mark the next stage of Etihad’s partnership with Al Etihad Payments to reward UAE-based travellers using the national domestic card scheme. Etihad Guest is the first airline loyalty programme to introduce benefits for Jaywan cardholders.
Etihad Guest members using an eligible Jaywan Royal Card will receive up to 10% off Etihad-operated flights when booking Comfort or Deluxe fares directly on etihad.com. Jaywan Royal cardholders will also enjoy Priority Access in Abu Dhabi, including check-in, boarding and baggage; adding additional value to the proposition and an added layer of convenience when travelling.
To qualify, guests must be logged into their Etihad Guest account and purchase flight tickets in either Comfort or Deluxe fares using an eligible Jaywan Royal Card; terms and conditions apply.
Mark Potter, Managing Director Etihad Guest at Etihad Airways, said: “This agreement recognises loyalty across both brands, rewarding that loyalty with real value on every booking. Offering exclusive fares on Comfort and Deluxe, and a smoother, faster experience at the airport. It’s a practical addition to the guest journey, and one we know matters to our UAE-based members.”
Andrea Cianchetti, Chief Products Officer at Al Etihad Payments, said: “ This agreement builds directly on the momentum we created with Etihad in August when the agreement between the parties was finalised, and on the MoU we signed together last October. Jaywan was designed to carry real value for our UAE customers, and this partnership with Etihad brings meaningful value to the Jaywan Royal proposition, delivering exactly what cardholders want – earning tangible travel benefits simply for using the payment method built for them. We are truly excited for this launch and look forward to continuing to grow this partnership with Etihad.”
Jaywan is operated by Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE, and is designed around the everyday needs of the UAE people.
UAE-based Etihad Guest members can select Jaywan at checkout when booking flights on etihad.com, across Etihad’s full route network. Full terms and conditions for member benefits are available at etihad.com.
