The UAE’s only immersive outdoor cinema experience returns next weekend with free movies for everyone to enjoy at du Arena, Yas Island on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th October. Doors open from 3pm daily with a carnival and funfair, live bands playing soundtracks from the movies, food trucks and a kid zone with everything from bouncy castles, arts and crafts to free trampolining and the blockbuster line up of free movies and live performances from UK West End performers.
You’ll be able to join in the action with audience participation and sing-along to the music, and for those wishing to add to the experience come dressed as your favorite movie characters and you’ll get chances to win prizes throughout the weekend. There will be free face painting for kids and adults alike and the opportunity to capture it all with free photo booths situated around du Arena. There will be carnival themed games to challenge your friends and family including letting off some steam at the latest adrenaline craze, The Smash Room. When its time to refuel your energy head to one of the many food trucks and enjoy alfresco dining on picnic tables as you take in the atmosphere before, during or after a movie.

DAY 1 – The weekend kick-starts on Thursday 18th October as doors open from 3pm ahead of the family favorite movies MOANA at 6pm followed by JURASSIC WORLD at 8.30pm playing on the big screen. As the sun goes down du Arena will transform with a showing of horror movie IT at 11pm (PG18 – and above only) – keep a lookout!
DAY 2 – On Friday 20th October its the MAMMA MIA immersive experience where West-End dancers and actors perform and sing along to ABBA’s hit songs which inspired the movie including Money, Money, Money; Super Trouper; Take a Chance on Me; and Thank You for the Music on the big screen at 7.30pm. After all the action relax with a chick -flick favorite HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS under the Arabian night sky on the big screen at 9.30pm.
DAY 3 – Finish the weekend with family and friends with an afternoon of fun before the all time favourite Disney musical film THE LION KING at 6pm followed by HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN at 8pm. There will be a special fancy dress competition for Harry Potter fans with the best lookalikes getting the chance to win VIP tickets.
