Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) today hosted a health and safety awareness workshop for its staff to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2019 (World OSH Day), launched by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
In line with the strategy of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD) for public and private sector entities, the event, which was attended by Salah Al Jaeedi, Chief Financial Officer, ADNEC, highlighted the importance of occupational safety and health, as well as wellness and accident prevention in the workplace. Led by Paul Ritchie, Head of Health and Safety at ADNEC, the three-hour session addressed a wide variety of topics, ranging from food hygiene to first aid. The workshop also explored emerging international trends in the field of health and safety.
As health and safety are among ADNEC’s foremost priorities, the company views the World OSH Day as an ideal opportunity for government and private sector entities to raise awareness about the relevant requirements and standards among their personnel.
ADNEC is committed to educating its employees about the prevention of workplace accidents and driving a culture of occupational health and safety across the organization.
