Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has signed a media partnership agreement with Nation Shield magazine, in which the magazine will assume the role of the official media partner and the authority responsible for issuing the daily media newsletter for the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition and Conference (SimTEX) and the accompanying conference, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, from February 23 to 25 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The fourth edition of UMEX and SimTEX 2020 and the accompanying conference are organised by ADNEC in collaboration with the Armed Forces General Command.
Saeed Bin Khadim Al Mansoori, Executive Director IDEX, a subsidiary of ADNEC, said: “This agreement reflects ADNEC’s strategic endeavors to enhance collaboration and partnerships with various key national institutions. Through this cooperation, we also seek to combine efforts, promote business tourism, and organise and host major events that suit the regional and global reputation and position of Abu Dhabi.”
Al Mansoori also emphasised that this year will see the largest edition of UMEX and SimTEX in their history; and pointed that both exhibitions cemented their leading position among major international exhibitions and events in their respective fields.
“UMEX and SimTEX became increasingly relevant due to the opportunities they offer showcasing the latest unmanned systems and simulation and training systems, in addition to latest Artificial Intelligence and robotics technologies and real time applications, as well as all solutions offered by these technologies to face challenges and turn them into opportunities for a better future,” Al Mansoori clarified.
For his part, Staff Colonel Yousef Juma Al Haddad, Editor in Chief, Nation Shield Magazine, said: “We are proud of our media partnership with ADNEC, and we will collaborate to build on the success of the previous editions of both exhibitions.”

The fourth edition of UMEX and SimTEX will run between February 23 to 25, in conjunction with the “Mohamed bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge” and the Series of artificial intelligence and robotics competitions.
