Abu Dhabi TV and Emarat TV have announced a star-studded line-up of shows for viewers in the region during the holy month of Ramadan. Offering audiences 20 new viewing choices, with 13 Emirati and Arab series, and more than 9 diverse programs, on both linear TV channels as well as on the ADTV app, the Ramadan line-up falls in line with Abu Dhabi Media’s strategy of offering its viewer content catered to audience preferences, how and when they want to watch
The celebrities set to appear on Abu Dhabi TV and Emarat TV screens across the region include: Suad Abdullah, Saad Al Faraj Mohamed Al Mansour, Abdallah Al Sadhan, Basil Khayyat, Abid Fahad, Yasmine Abdul Aziz, Khalid Ameen, Haya Abdul Salam, Buthaynah Al Raeisi, Husein Mahdi, Jaber Naghmoosh, Abdallah Zaid, Haifa Hussein, Maysaa Mughrabi, Habib Gholom, Abdul Naser Darwish, Ibrahim Al Zadjali, Amal Bushoosha, Stiphany Saliba, Akram Hosni and Ahmed Fahmi.
The line-up includes Local and regional dramas, regional comedies, Ramadan competitions, as well as a daily news programs from 3:00pm until 2:00am. The channels will also air a range of informative and educational content focused on highlighting the history and values of the UAE.
In addition, Emarat TV will continue to provide special coverage and latest updates regarding COVID-19, through a daily airing of the UAE government media briefing sessions, as well as through “Al Alam Fi Mwajahit Corona”, an exclusive program presented by Ahmad Al Yammahi; and “Maan Nahno Bekhair” in collaboration with Ma’an Authority for Social Contribution, which will air every Friday.

Abu Dhabi TV
– “Al Saher” tells the story of “Mina”- played by Abed Fahed- a guy from the lower class who coincidentally becomes a member of the high society. With the help of Carmen- played by Stephanie Saliba-He seizes every opportunity he can to control a society to which he doesn’t belong and becomes the master of the game.
– “Al Nahat” tells the story of Yaman played by Basil Khayyat-, a young man who decides to take sculpting courses in one of the universities. He leaves his mother and moves to the family’s house that was abandoned since his father’s death. Pictures from the past and the memory of a life he ignores change his destiny.
– ‘Manican’, exclusive Gulf drama, which follows the story of three generations of women, cursed in romance. Haya Abdel Salam’s fate changes when a café opens in front of the sewing workshop where she works with her girlfriends, and a series of comedic events unravel.
– ‘Mohammad Ali Rod’, a romantic drama, highlighting the trade between Kuwait and India during 1940. The story follows Shihab, who opts to travel to India leaving behind his wife, Fawzia, and daughters in Kuwait. The drama takes an intriguing turn when Fawzia hires a new help, Sultanah, who, it turns out, chooses to work with the family to seek revenge. Starring Jasim Al Nabhan, Mohammad Al Mansoor, and Zahra Al Kharji.
– In ‘Darweeshiyat’, Abdul Nasser Darweesh narrates the stories of a group of friends who encounter funny situations as they set out on adventures within Emarati heritage sites.
– Souad Al Abdallah and Ibrahim Al Harbi will also star on Abu Dhabi TV in ‘Jannat Halli‘, a series that highlights the bond between family members, despite all their differences.
– Egyptian comedy, ‘Reggalet Al Beit’ revolves around two cousins who decide to live with their grandfather in the family home. A sequence of unfortunate and dramatic events unfold as the pair realize that they must take on responsibilities and stand together as one family to challenge the landlord who wants to vacate them from the house and build a tower in its place, starring Akram Hosny and Ahmad Fahmi.
– Another Egyptian series, ‘Wenheb Tani Leh’, stars Yasmin Abdulazziz, Sherif Mouneer, and tells the story of an interior designer as her marriage comes to an end. The production follows Abdulazziz as she scrambles between pursuing a new love interest and reviving romance with her ex-husband.
– Renowned Chef May Al Yaqoubi will bring her unique style of cooking and share her recipes for a range of dishes from around the world in ‘May’s Kitchen’ which will be aired on Abu Dhabi TV.
On Emarat TV
– Abu Dhabi TV’s Ramadan offerings would not be complete without its exclusive Emarati and Gulf drama on Emarat TV, ‘Khashe Nashe’. Starring Abdullah Zaid, this comedy takes place in the late 1960s in a village by the sea and highlights the development of the educational, health, electricity and water sectors.
– ‘Al Shahd Al Murr’ will air on Emarat TV throughout the month with Jassem Al Nabhan, Habib Ghloum, Haifa Hussein, Abel Mohsen Al Nemr all making an appearance. The show reveals Suhail’s character, his relationship with his two wives, Moza and Shamsa, and the conflict between them.
– ‘Kanna Ams’, talks about tolerance and forgiveness, as well as the fatal connections that separate and bring us together. The show features Maisa Moghrabi, Khalid Ameen and Ahmad Abdel Raziq.
– Narrated in the Emirati dialect, ‘Miftah Al Qifl’ starred by Jabir Naghmoosh, tells the story of Miftah, an independent artist who is determined to make a name for himself. When his boss accuses him of theft, Miftah does not give up but, instead, establishes his own production company with two friends. His path to fame begins when a famous actress offers him the opportunity to compete with his ex-boss.
– “Kasaret Dhaher“, a Gulf drama featuring Abdullah Sadhan, Mohamed Alojaimi and Hanadi Alkandari, tells the story of the rivalry between two businessmen and the ongoing conflict between them.
– ‘Al Shara’ will also run on Emarat TV, bringing a cultural game show to a wide audience. Presented by Hessa Al Falasi, the show focuses on the heritage, traditions, literature and culture of the UAE.
– A competition titled ‘Fawanees’, with Abdallah Bin Haidar, will air on Emarat TV, where viewers have the opportunity to participate by responding to questions via SMS.
– On 19th of Ramadan Emarat TV will display ‘Zayed Humanitarian Day’, a film that highlights the global achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed, narrated by witnesses of his humanitarian achievements and initiatives.
On both channels
– “Ghaith” returns to Abu Dhabi TV for the third year running after his program, ‘Qalby Etma’an’, became popular on social media. ‘Qalby Etma’an’ is an Emirati driven charity initiative run during the holy month of Ramadan to contribute to humanitarian causes and enhance the lives of people in need.
– Cultural themes will be revisited in ‘Doroub’, in its seventh season a program that follows the travels of Ali Al Salloum.
– ‘Rijalon Sadako‘ An informative bite-sized selection of evocative quotes by the nation’s founder Sheikh Zayed. Aired throughout the month, these intimate five-minute segments recall Sheikh Zayed’s pioneering views on tradition, UAE culture, education and spirituality.
– Fahed Haykal will be educating and informing audiences on cooperation and society-building, spreading positivity in ‘Aiyn Khair‘.
– Abu Dhabi TV will also present short segments between shows, such as ‘Bethra’, presented by Amira Mohammed that highlights the future of food security in the region. In addition, the network will showcase “Al Watheeqa” a documentaries in cooperation with the national archives.
– The channels will also air ‘Howa Allah’, a religious program capturing the faith, values and principles of Ramadan, presented by Dr Omar Al Derie and produced by Abu Dhabi Media.
Viewers will be able to enjoy a variety of content through the online hub, including on-demand streaming. The ‘Catch up’ feature on the platform will enable favourite shows to be viewed at any given time. The shows will also be accessible via the ADTV App, available on Android TV, Apple TV, Apple Store and Google Play.
