The annual Winter Wonderland on Al Maryah Island is treating guests to a world of entertainment and exciting festive attractions for family and friends between December 13 and 26. Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s business and lifestyle destination, will transform into a spectacular Winter Wonderland, while The Galleria welcomes little ones and their families to Santa’s Grotto from December 6 and offers a host of engaging activities from December 13.
Visitors can celebrate and enjoy entertainment featuring roaming performances and live stage shows. Guests can also explore a wide selection of festive food and beverage offerings, arts and crafts, and enjoy carnival games for families.
A full schedule of live performances throughout the week will keep the whole family entertained including professional dance troupes and spectacular group singing performances.
Complementing the festive mood, cozy winter cottages covered in frosty snowflakes will host children’s activities including snow globe making, cookie decorating, face painting and much more. A sliding slope park, a snow Zone, an immersive snow globe and other exciting activities will provide entertainment for hours on end, while the youngest visitors can enjoy train rides around the Promenade.
Guests and visitors will also get to meet and greet six princesses from popular children’s fairy tales including, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, The Snow Queen and Belle. To truly capture a magical moment, a custom photobooth will also provide the opportunity for visitors to take themed photos using filters with any of the six characters.
Festive music and spectacular decorations, including colored lights and an enormous LED sculpture of Santa’s Sleigh and his reindeer, will immerse visitors in the holiday spirit. All shows and activities will take place between 4pm and 10pm.
