Yas Marina Circuit and FLASH Entertainment have revealed the fourth global artist to perform at this year’s Yasalam After-Race Concert as part of the FORMULA 1 2018 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX weekend.
Billboard award-winning American superstar, Post Malone, has been confirmed as the headline performer at the du Arena, Yas Island, on Thursday 22nd November.
The show will officially kick off four nights of live shows to mark 10 years of incredible Yasalam After-Race Concerts and the 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Post Malone, who is best known for his global chart hits ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Better Now’, joins an already star-studded line-up for this year’s extra special Yasalam After-Race Concerts.
On Friday, Canadian superstar ‘The Weeknd’ will perform at the du Arena, UK singer Sam Smith will take to the stage on Saturday, with American rock legends Guns N’ Roses bringing the curtain down on Sunday.
Since bursting onto the music scene in 2015 with his debut single ‘White Iverson’, Post Malone has been riding a wave of success with a string of platinum-selling tracks, including ‘Congratulations’ that peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, as well as releasing two hugely successful albums.
Last year saw Post Malone, whose music has been described as a “melting pot of country, grunge, hip-hop and R&B”, release his biggest hit yet, ‘Rockstar”, featuring 21 Savage’. The song peaked at number one in the US and held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders can enjoy access to all four Yasalam After-Race Concerts, with upgrades to the exclusive Golden Circle area – the best place to watch the artists perform – available from AED 195.
It was also announced today that Yas Marina Circuit will be launching a 10th edition ‘Golden Ticket’ competition for F1® super-fans who have already bought, or purchase their tickets before 22 November.
The competition, which will see 10 winners get the ultimate F1® upgrade, comes with an incredible array of VIP experiences, tours, access to exclusive areas, the chance to meet F1® driver plus much, much more.
In more great news for fans, a limited number of tickets for the previously sold out Abu Dhabi Hill are now back on sale. Due to popular demand, 1,000 extra general admission, three-day tickets have been released. Priced at just AED 995, the Abu Dhabi Hill tickets are a great way to watch the race and the Yasalam After-Race Concerts.

With 2018 marking the 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, race goers can experience a host of new, exciting and value-packed ways to enjoy the biggest race weekend of the year.
‘Super Thursday’ will be bigger and better than ever before, with fans able to spend even more time exploring the pit lanes, experience the thrill of racing around the Circuit and catching performances by some of best up-and-coming music acts.
The hugely popular Thursday Public Pit Lane Walk has been extended for an extra hour so petrol heads have more time to get a behind-the-scenes look at their favourite team’s on-track preparations from noon until 5pm.
Also on Thursday, race fans can sign up to experience a hot lap as a passenger in a high-powered sports car for a thrilling race around Yas Marina Circuit as part of the Yas Marina Hot Laps activity.
Later that evening, tickets holders can enjoy an exclusive live performance by some of the region’s newest and best emerging musical artists in the F1® Fanzone, while 10 great regional and international acts will also entertain the crowds at the various Grandstand Oasis areas throughout the weekend.
New for 2018 is the Support Pit Friday Pit Lane Walk, allowing exclusive access for fans to see first-hand how the F2® and GP3 teams are preparing for their end-of-season battles at the Circuit.
Race goers will also have the chance to purchase special edition merchandise featuring exclusive designs that celebrate the 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Ideal for super fans, F1® Vision tablets can be rented during race weekend. The devices, which feature live video of the race and commentary, access to team communications, and advanced analytics, are available to rent for AED 195 for Friday, AED 295 for Saturday and AED 395 for Sunday. A three-day package costs AED 495.
This year’s 10-year edition celebrations wouldn’t be the same without fireworks, so fans can expect to be wowed by incredible displays that will light up the sky above the Yas Marina Circuit.
Once the winning car crosses the finish line on Sunday night, the fireworks will blast off from four separate locations for a spectacular four-minute display.
With Abu Dhabi being the last race on what is shaping up to be an exciting season of F1® action, this year fans will be able to stay in the Circuit for an extra 30 minutes after the chequered flag waves, allowing them to fully enjoy the fireworks and soak up every second of what promises to be an electric atmosphere.
As well as watching some of the world’s greatest drivers and most technologically advanced teams battle it out, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is also a fantastic opportunity for F1® fans and their families to explore the UAE capital.
This year, ticket holders can enjoy a 50 per cent discount on general admission to the stunning Louvre Abu Dhabi from Thursday to Sunday.

Those looking to add extra value and excitement to their race weekend can also purchase the three-day ‘Super Parks Pass’. Allowing unlimited access to all three Yas Island Parks – Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi – on Wednesday through to Sunday.
