Bin Hamoodah Auto, the official GMC and Chevrolet dealer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi crowned Ahmed Al Enezi and his 2007 Corvette the winner of the Swaihan Thunder Mile Race competition. Completing the race at an impressive speed of 288.9 KMPH, Kuwaiti national, Al Enezi, was awarded a trophy and a valuable prize, along with the exclusive title of The Swaihan Thunder Mile King, beating over 150 other competitors.
Hosted at Tilal Swaihan, Abu Dhabi, the competition was exclusively for owners of GMC Yukon or Sierra and Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, Tahoe or Silverado vehicles and challenged drivers to demonstrate their top speeds in a drag race.
Commenting on his win, Al Enezi said: “I absolutely loved competing in the Thunder Mile Drag Race and showcasing the unparalleled abilities of my 2007 Corvette. Putting my driving skills to the test was an exciting, adrenaline-fueled opportunity, especially behind the wheel of my Corvette. I really pride myself on the title of the Swaihan Thunder Mile King and look forward to competing again next year.”

To find the Swaihan Thunder Mile King, participants first competed in vehicle categories before the winner of the Performance Car category met the winner of the Truck & SUVs category head to head for the ultimate win.
Many visitors also attended the event with friends and family and enjoyed a fun filled afternoon fuelled with a range of food stalls and entertainment options, and the luckiest ones took home sport watches!
