Day four of ADIHEX has closed after presenting a full agenda of shows and cultural heritage experiences at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi today.
Taking place under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the 21st edition of the globally renowned exhibition is being organised by ADNEC Group in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
ADIHEX’s fourth day featured further shows highlighting the rich tapestry of Emirati cultural traditions and heritage along with a range of innovative, forward-looking features that offered new products, engaged visitors of all ages, and showcased adventure and outdoor lifestyles.
In the Main Arena,an engrossing Freestyle Test was presented by the Dhabian Equestrian Club, with riders choreographing elaborate routines accompanied by music that added an artistic dimension to expressive personal performances.In front of a large and appreciative audience, highly trained horses executed precise movements in response to small signals from their riders. The display provided a fascinating exhibition of the horses’ variations in pace and bearing while performing a range of walks, trots, canters, and more specialized manoeuvres.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Society returned to the Arena with another “Liberty Horse Demonstration” that showcased horses displaying their natural elegance and strength without saddles, bridles, or halters. Responding to the horses’ athleticism and spirit, visitors were highly appreciative of the skilful demonstrations of the bonds between horse and handler and the impressive abilities of the animals in an environment that highlighted their grace and beauty.
For the ADIHEX Daily Family Show, Kaber Stables hosted an exceptional equestrian experience that promoted horseback riding adventures for enthusiasts of all levels from beginners to seasoned riders. As specialists in leisure rides, professional riding lessons, and advanced training, the Stables’ expert trainers showcased their well-trained horses to provide an enjoyable and educational experience for the entertainment of a sizeable audience. Visitors were also offered a range of programs and activities that encourage riders to develop their skills, connect with other equestrian enthusiasts, and deepen their bond with horses.
The Abu Dhabi Police provided latest daily live show of its Security Inspection Administration, K9, demonstrating the use of sniffer dogs to serve the police and security authorities. Visitors also learned about how these dogs could be used in search and rescue operations and also can community members and farmers combat agricultural pests. The K9 dogs are trained by specialist trainers with the support of comprehensive vet clinic equipped with a lab, inspection and treatment room, and a pharmacy with specialized medicines for dogs.
At today’s ADIHEX Knowledge Hub, an in-depth presentation entitled “Liwa Nights: Native Plants and Sustainable Plantation in Abu Dhabi” was led by Salem Belkoor Al Mazrouei and Rashed Almarar as a new learning experience for visitors. The talk covered native plant species and sustainable dry plantation using air-pruning technology that requires minimum water for plants to survive. By using this technique, people could help to ensure that endangered desert plants might thrive again with the possibility that they could eventually be used for medicine and food.
In the interests of raising ADIHEX visitors’ awareness of emergency response and road safety procedures, the Knowledge Hub also hosted important and informative workshop sessions by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority on how to perform first aid, and by Abu Dhabi Police on traffic safety and how drivers could reduce black points by changing their driving habits.
