Day three of ADIHEX presented another packed programme of dramatic shows, interactive sessions and unique exhibits at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi today.
Taking place under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the 21st edition of the globally renowned exhibition is being organised by ADNEC Group in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
ADIHEX’s third day featured further shows highlighting the rich tapestry of Emirati cultural traditions and heritage along with a range of innovative, forward-looking features that offered new products, engaged visitors of all ages, and showcased adventure and outdoor lifestyles.
In the Main Arena, the Eman Talks covered Sustainable Storytelling and Talks for Children with a focus on introducing young minds to the concepts of sustainability, environmental stewardship, and preservation of our planet. The event engaged an enthusiastic audience of children in meaningful conversations about sustainability through fun activities, storytelling, and hands-on activities. By fostering an understanding of eco-friendly practices, this event will inspire the next generation to adopt sustainable habits and become advocates for a healthier, greener world.
A dramatic show entitled “Archery with a traditional bow and arrow on horseback” showcased the ancient and skilful art of horseback archery. Combining the precision of archery with the dynamic movement of horseback riding, this event both a demonstration of advanced techniques and an interactive workshop that engaged participants to experience the sport firsthand.
With a unique reputation for bringing the art of horsemanship to schools, established companies and exclusive events,“Knights of Oman Traditional Omani Show”provided a grand cultural display that celebrated the rich heritage and traditions of Oman through a captivating exhibition of equestrian skill, traditional arts, and historical reenactments. The performance not only showcased local heritage, but also featured exceptional horsemanship on Arabian horses that testified to the years of training required to develop riding skills to the highest level.
For the ADIHEX Daily Family Show, the Dhabian Equestrian Club hosted an exceptional pony riding“Pony Riding Experience” as a family-friendly activity designed to introduce children and beginners to the joys of horseback riding in a safe and nurturing environment. Under the expert guidance of the Club,the experience offered an excellent opportunity for potential young riders to connect with gentle, well-trained equines under the tutelage of experienced instructors.
Courtesy of Al Ain Zoo,the Family Show also hosted a“Falconry Workshop” that provided an interactive and educational session giving enthusiasts the chance to learn all about the fascinating world of Falconry. As well as offering a close-up look at these impressive birds of prey, participants were able to discover the traditional specialized tools used by falconers for hunting.
At the Knowledge Hub, the Earth Warrioz led panel discussions on“Green Entrepreneurship: Building Sustainable Businesses”, in collaboration with Dgrade “Sustainable Business and Innovations”. Earth Warriors is a social enterprise working at the intersection of climate change, sustainability and education to enable climate action through education institutions, development organisations, governments and businesses to make climate action a reality.
As part of its commitment to nurturing the next generation’s understanding of Emirati heritage and traditions, today’s ADIHEX session curated a guided school visit with an exclusive itinerary designed to offer students a rich experience of Emirati culture, heritage, and sustainability practices through interactive sessions, activities, and live demonstrations.
These visits, which take place throughout the exhibition, cover a vast range of activities including environmental preservation, cultural heritage, arts and crafts, hunting with falcons, equestrian-themed games and activities, and animal welfare and sustainability among others.
