Emirati product designer, Eisa Alsubousi unveiled his contemporary leather concept retail store Tharb today. Tharb, iconic for its classic and practical design of leather products, is situated on the second floor of the newly opened expansion of The Galleria-Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s latest lifestyle destination. The concept store showcases the entire Tharb collection, which has a signature luxury and minimalist design ranging from the best seller notebook sleeve-Mayed to the timeless leather and marble bag-Shamma.
Sought after by clientele for its bags and leather goods, Tharb’s hallmarks are based on UAE craftsmanship, highest quality leather, precise stitching and functional design. The new concept store illustrates designer Eisa Alsubousi’s take on the luxury market and is part of his creative vision to expand the reach of Tharb from online retail to an in-store experience. The store’s interior combines elements that reflect the essence of Tharb while mirroring the designer’s minimalist and contemporary design approach. It also pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by featuring one of his poems as it was the origin of the brand’s name.
Inspired by his Emirati heritage and driven by his personal aesthetic, Eisa Alsubousi launched Tharb in 2016 as a product design studio to showcase the natural beauty of materials with minimal interruptions. Since then, Tharb has established itself as an Emirati brand with an online as well as brick-and-mortar presence in local and international boutiques. It currently caters to UAE clientele and has a strong international following. Eisa Alsubousi, Founder of Tharb remarked, “The opening of Tharb at The Galleria is truly a milestone.
