Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2019 (ADIBF) is offering a range of substantial price reductions on books, with discounts ranging from 20% to 60%. The initiative aims to encourage visitors to buy books, in a bid to promote the love of reading and knowledge cultivation amongst all members of society.
These offers come as ADIBF witnessed a significant increase in the number of visitors during the weekend, bolstered by the many tour groups who visited, including many young children from state schools during the first and second days of the exhibition. These children had the opportunity to walk around the exhibition halls and interact with the various entertainment and cultural activities organised by ADIBF.
This year, ADIBF featured new interactive corners, which included the E-Zone, the Comic Corner, the Entertainment Zone and the Illustrators’ & Art Corner, with visitors experiencing unique and innovative interactive experiences for all ages, adding a distinctive touch to the visitors’ experience.
More than 1,000 exhibitors from 50 countries are exhibiting at ADIBF this year, with more than 500,000 titles in various fields of science, knowledge and literature, in multiple languages. The exhibition space has been fully booked this year, with more than 100 publishers on the waiting list. This year’s edition also witnessed several first-timers at ADIBF, including exhibitors from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Malta, and Portugal.
ADIBF is an important platform for the publishing industry in the Arab world and a hub for publishers, authors and cultural media institutions to convene to share ideas and investment opportunities. The exhibition is part of Abu Dhabi’s plan to transform the Emirate into a global cultural destination.
