Under the baton of Grammy Award-winning conductor Mikhail Pletnev, the Russian National Orchestra performed two captivating concerts at the Cultural Foundation’s newly inaugurated theatre in Abu Dhabi, marking the opening of the Abu Dhabi Classics 2019/20 season, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Attended by His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Russian National Orchestra played a programme dedicated to Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, and were joined by French piano star Lucas Debargue.
