13 February 2019, UAE: Tickets have been released for the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.
The Opening Ceremony will take place at Zayed Sports City Stadium on Thursday 14 March from 5pm and is set to be a spectacular celebration of humanity at its brilliant best.
More than 40,000 spectators at Zayed Sports City and millions of viewers worldwide are expected to celebrate the official start of the World Games in less than 30 days’ time. Spectators will witness the largest number of nations take part in a parade at a Special Olympics Opening Ceremony as each athlete prepares to showcase their sporting talent on a global stage.
The athletes will be accompanied by a number of international celebrities and sporting heroes who are passionate about driving the Special Olympics movement forward.
The Opening Ceremony will be broadcast live from Zayed Sports City to millions of viewers across the world by the Official World Games Broadcast Partners, ESPN and Abu Dhabi TV, under the umbrella of local media partner, Abu Dhabi Media.
