The Galleria on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi is devoting the Holy Month of Ramadan to the Year of Zayed. Residents and visitors will be invited to experience an exclusive photographic exhibition courtesy of the National Archive on Level 1, and a bespoke art display created by local Emirati artist, Hayat Abdallah.
The photographic exhibition hosted at The Galleria is in celebration of the late founding father of the UAE, his highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The 40 images, on loan by the National Archive, showcases the historical significance of his rule and the impact of his legacy within the UAE.
During Ramadan at The Galleria, guests can also enjoy some downtime at the hospitality area where friends and families can sample traditional Arabic coffee and dates, throughout each weekend. As Ramadan draws to a close and in preparation of Eid, children can take part in an array of arts and crafts themed around the occasion.
For those looking to enjoy authentic traditional performances, The Galleria will host ayyalah performers, showcase an incredible falconry display; and there will also be a calligraphy station and henna artist on hand to design stunning creations for visitors. Lastly the first 50 visitors will receive a personalized sand bottle as a gift from the Galleria.
