In line with the country’s drive for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), Emirates Foundation’s Think Science Ambassadors are set to showcase 14 outstanding scientific inventions during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) planned to take place in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 12-15 November 2018. Moreover, and as part of the Young ADIPEC talks, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance; three young Emirati Think Science Ambassadors will present inspiring stories about their journey as the next generation of young innovators during the “Young Einstein sessions.”
The participation of Think Science Ambassadors at ADIPEC, one of the world’s largest, and most prominent influential oil and gas events that brings together industry stakeholders and experts; is part of Emirate’s Foundation’s strategy and commitment to provide young scientists with the platform to showcase their innovations and interact with industry leaders for the potential of support, R&D and incubation.
Commenting on the participation of Think Science Ambassadors in ADIPEC, H.E. Maytha Al Habsi, CEO of Emirates Foundation said: “Inspiring the UAE youth to take a vested interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and pursue their passion for innovation is at the heart of Emirates Foundation’s mission. Today we stand proud that our top Think Science Ambassadors will showcase their innovations and present their success stories at ADIPEC and interact with leading industry experts from across the world.”
Al Habsi added: “Today, after the successful achievements from our Think Science program, our plan is to expand our reach to all the 7 Emirates and to seize partnership opportunities and platforms such as ADIPEC to support our youth take a leap into turning their innovations into real ventures and enterprises,” Al Habsi continued.
The 14 projects to be showcased offer innovative solutions in a wide range of industries such as Innovations in Energy and Environment, and applied Sciences, Health Systems and Bioinformatics, Smart Systems and AI.
