Wackadoo! Emmy® Award-Winning Phenomenon Bluey Brings First Live Stage Show To Etihad Arena

BBC Studios Kids & Family are excited to share that the much-loved Emmy® and BAFTA award-winning animated seriesBluey is set to expand its presence in the Middle East in 2024.Grab the sticky geckos, break out the duck cakes, and alert the grannies! It’s time to meet the much-loved Heeler family, who will be coming to the Etihad Arenafrom August 30th – September 1st 2024with the Bluey live show, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show!Organizer Theory Eleven Entertainment, supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, announces dates for Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show,an exciting live touring spectacle commencing in September 2024.

The Emmy® Award-winning animated preschool series, which airs on Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney+, will be “taking the show on the road” to the Etihad Arena with 7 shows:

Friday, August30 at 5:30PM
Saturday, August31 at 11:30AM, 2:30PM and 5:30PM              

Sunday, September 1 at 2:30PM and 5:30PM

Fans of all ages will get to see Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli as they’ve never seen them before, as the Heelers embark on their very first live theatre show in the U.A.E. featuring puppetry, live actors, and iconic sets. Based on an original new story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, Bluey’s Big PlayThe Stage Show also contains new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush.

Bluey’s Big PlayThe Stage Showis presented by BBC Studios, Andrew Kay and Theory Eleven with Windmill Theatre Co. The stage show enjoyed much success in the home market of Australia, where it premiered in Bluey’s hometown Brisbane and went on to perform 447 times across 65 venues, including the Sydney Opera House.
