Citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries can travel to Abu Dhabi without a visa, but for everyone else, you will need to get permission. Some countries can apply for a ticket free of charge upon arrival, whereas others will need to do so in advance. It is crucial you understand which category you fall into before you book your ticket.
If you don’t, you may find you are denied boarding of the plane or denied entry to the country upon arrival.
