A library named after the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, was opened today by Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, wife of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, at the Family Development Foundation’s Abu Dhabi Gate Centre.
The Zayed Humanitarian Library was launched under the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, GWU, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, FDF, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, SCMC, as part of activities to celebrate the ”Year of Zayed”.
”The launch of the library at the FDF signifies the deep vision the UAE is seeking to promote through its breakthrough humanitarian initiatives,” she said.
Sheikha Khawla along with Maryam Al Rumaithi, Director General of FDF, chairwomen of departments, experts and top managers at FDF and artists, toured the library and an exhibition depicting works on Sheikh Zayed along with other cultural paintings.
