42 Abu Dhabi Hosts Its Third Hackathon In Collaboration With Beacon Red

42 Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital’s innovative and disruptive coding school that provides a unique peer-to-peer, gamified learning methodology and BEACON RED, an advanced cyber solutions provider that tackles complex national security threats, have jointly organized their third hackathon under the title “Capture The Flag”. The hackathon was attended by over 70 students from 42 Abu Dhabi.

Offering students with an opportunity to dive into 10 virtual challenges, the hackathon served as a platform for 42 Abu Dhabi’s coders to showcase their skills, learn from industry experts, and network with like-minded individuals.

Marcos Muller Habig, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi said:“In today’s digital era, cybersecurity is paramount, and hackathons like these are instrumental in preparing our students to tackle the evolving challenges in this field. By fostering a culture of collaboration and hands-on learning, we aim to empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals who will play a crucial role in safeguarding Abu Dhabi’s digital future.”

Matthew Webb, Director of Beacon Red’s Mission Technical Academy added: “With cybersecurity becoming increasingly vital in today’s digital world, Beacon Red’s ongoing support is playing a crucial role in nurturing 42 Abu Dhabi’s’ talented students and continues to raise awareness of the cyber threat landscape”.
