Abu Dhabi Festival 2021presents the co-produced performance with the world-renowned American Ballet Theatre this Sunday, December 20thas part of the world premiere titled ‘ABT Today: The Future Starts Now’. This unique artistic event salutes American Ballet Theatre’s 80 years and Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s 25 yearsof creativity, innovation and diversity.
‘ABT Today: The Future Starts Now’, programmed by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, is an online celebration including excerpts from the full production, imaginatively created uniquely in quarantined “ballet bubbles” with 3 performances,to adapt to the times and meet Covid-19 regulations. The extraordinary co-production was performed by ABT’s incredible dancers and the adventurous and imaginative creators including choreographers Gemma Bond, Darrell Grand Moultrie and Pam Tanowitz.
