“ADIB’s continued growth reflects the strength of our franchise and the trust of our customers, with strong financing momentum, an expanding customer base and strong asset quality positioning the Bank well for the next phase of growth under Vision 2035.”

H.E. Jawaan Awaidah Al Khaili, Chairman

“ADIB’s performance in the first nine months of 2026 demonstrates the strength and resilience of our franchise and the progress we are making in executing our 2035 Vision. We continue to see significant opportunities for growth, supported by the strength of the UAE economy, increasing economic diversification and continued investment across key sectors.

We are well positioned to capture these opportunities, supported by the continued expansion of our customer franchise and strong demand across our core businesses. Customer financing increased 25% year-on-year, while more than 200,000 new customers joined ADIB during the first nine months of the year.

Importantly, this growth has been accompanied by continued improvement in asset quality, with the non-performing asset ratio reaching a historical low of 2.0%, demonstrating the resilience and quality of the portfolio as we continue to grow.

The UAE’s continued investment programme, growing private sector activity and increasing economic diversification are creating significant opportunities for growth. Our AED 1.75 billion rights issue is an important step in positioning ADIB to capture these opportunities and deliver on our Vision 2035 ambitions, further strengthening our capital base and providing additional capacity to support the next phase of growth.

Our growth also carries a wider responsibility. As a national institution rooted in the UAE, we remain committed to creating a positive impact in the communities we serve. Through our community programmes and partnerships, we continue to support areas that matter to the UAE’s social and economic development, including financial literacy, education, youth development, inclusion and community wellbeing. This reflects our belief that ADIB’s success should contribute not only to our customers and shareholders, but also to the wider society in which we operate.”

“Our performance reflects the broad-based growth across ADIB, with strong profitability, continued customer and financing growth, and robust asset quality. Supported by the strength of our franchise and a healthy pipeline across retail and wholesale banking, we are well positioned to sustain this momentum as we execute Vision 2035.”

Mohamed Abdelbary, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)

“The first nine months of 2026 demonstrate the broad-based growth we are seeing across ADIB. Momentum remains strong across our businesses, supported by continued customer acquisition, higher financing volumes and increasing activity across both retail and wholesale banking.

This performance translated into another period of robust profitability, with net profit before tax reaching AED 6.4 billion, up 6% year-on-year, while return on equity remained industry-leading at 28%. Revenue reached AED 9.7 billion, up 6% year-on-year, supported by an 11% increase in funded income to AED 6.1 billion and a growing contribution from our core fee-generating activities.

We continue to benefit from the strength of the UAE economy, supported by sustained investment and capital expenditure across key sectors. Against this backdrop, our balance sheet continued to expand, with total assets reaching AED 318 billion and gross customer financing increasing 25% year-on-year and 18% year-to-date to AED 218.5 billion.

Our strong financing growth continues to be underpinned by disciplined risk management and robust credit quality. Despite the significant balance sheet expansion, the non-performing asset ratio improved to a record low of 2.0%, while the cost of risk remained low at 30 basis points, demonstrating the resilience and quality of our financing portfolio.

The growth of our business continues to be supported by a strong customer franchise. More than 200,000 new customers joined ADIB during the first nine months of the year, while customer deposits increased 17% year-on-year to AED 259 billion. CASA balances continued to account for 60% of total deposits, providing an important foundation for our funding profile.

We continue to balance disciplined cost management with investment for future growth. Operating expenses increased 9% year-on-year, while the cost-to-income ratio remained at a healthy 29.1%, as we invested in our people, technology and customer capabilities to support the growing scale of the franchise.

As we look ahead, we remain focused on converting the opportunities we see across the UAE economy into sustainable growth, deepening our relationships with customers and executing the priorities under Vision 2035. In support of these ambitions, ADIB’s AED 1.75 billion rights issue represents an important step in our next phase of growth, further strengthening our capital base and providing additional capacity to capture future financing opportunities, while maintaining the quality of our portfolio and the strength of our franchise.”
