ADNOC Schools’ Class Of 2019 Graduates Set Sights On Shaping The Future Of The UAE

This month, ADNOC Schools celebrated graduation of the class of 2019,across its Sas Al Nakhl, Al Ruwais, and Madinat Zayed campuses, marking the significant transition in the lives of the students, as they continue their onward academic and personal journey.

This year, across the Adnoc Schools, a total of 235 grade 12 students received their High School diplomas. His Excellency Sultan Al Romaithi, Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Mr Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Trustees were in attendance  as Madinat Zayed campus hosted their first ever graduating class.

Sas Al Nakhl also celebrated their 10th anniversary milestone during the graduation ceremony.

“As we honour our 2019 graduates, we do so knowing that they are highly qualified to achieve their very highest potential, and thrive as well-rounded leaders of tomorrow. Education is a pillar of our nation’s future, and in particular, deep technical expertise in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) subjects – those that are so pivotal to the UAE’s budding knowledge-based economy,” commented Mr Ghannam Al Mazrouei.

“That’s why the STEM skills underpin ADNOC Schools’ curriculum. We’ve also shaped our approach with a global outlook, to honour local values, and to capitalise on the strength of our network. In doing so, we’re empowering tomorrow’s generation with skills that will surely foster the continued development of our nation,” added Mr Ghannam Al Mazrouei.

“I am filled with pride to see the potential within our graduates, who I am sure, will contribute to our globalised society by thriving as innovators and disruptors of tomorrow. I’d also like to note that this success is shared by the incredible teachers, staff and supervisors across ADNOC campuses, who worked tirelessly to help these brilliant students reach this point today,” said Sahar Cooper, CEO of Aldar Education; Operator and Manager of ADNOC Schools.

“Our incredible leadership teams and staff have helped build a framework that underpins Aldar Education’s  approach to continue to spark a love for learning in our students from the very beginning of their time with us. I am proud that our community has delivered that promise, and ensured that every day inspires and encourages our students to pursue excellence in all walks of life,” she added.

In light of the numerous developments, grade 12 graduates have displayed an outstanding array of achievements – from outstanding examination results to community leadership initiatives across the emirate, showcasing their ability to leave a lasting positive impact in their onward journey. Showcasing remarkable scientific prowess,Abdullah Al Mazrooqui of Sas Al Nakhl’s final year performance, shining through with a 4.3 GPA  reflects the school’s uncompromising standards of educational practices. Diane Dator Quitain of Ruwais’s reflects the outstanding performance and proves that ADNOC’s focus on nurturing the soft-skills of its students is a major contributor to future success of its graduates, in a rapidly evolving professional world.

Ms Sahar Cooper, CEO Aldar Education presented Madinat Zayed graduate, Sultan Salem Al Mazrouei with the ‘Academic Achievement Award’, for recognition of his academic scholarship to study in China, awarded by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

In their mission to deliver a world-class, STEM-focused education, ADNOC Schools introduced a variety of leading educational programs to enhance teaching and learning outcomes, including through partnerships with LEGO Education and the Kumon Learning Programme. This marked another milestone in ADNOC Schools’ continued progress and underlines its vision for the future of the UAE’s knowledge economy. Earlier this year, ADNOC Schools’ Madinat Zayed Campus announced impressive growth across every performance standard listed in the latest ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) School Inspection Report. The report pointed to a continued rise in the school’s overall performance, driven by an experienced leadership team. With a rise across each of ADEK’s six core performance standards, the school ensures its graduates can continue their educational journey at a leading higher educational institute.

The 2018 to 2019 academic year at ADNOC Schools also saw the restructure of its senior executive team, led by Aldar Academies – the manager and operator of ADNOC Schools since 2017. This change helped raise the benchmarks of teaching and learning quality across the campuses, and consequently, witnessed higher academic achievement and personal development among ADNOC students. With an increased focus on delivering a highly relevant, world-class education that serve as a model of excellence, ADNOC graduates have continually maintained commendable academic records.
