The countdown is on for the thrilling return of live sporting events, with just days to go until the 2nd Abu Dhabi Showdown Week. Abu Dhabi is set to reaffirm its status as the regional MMA capital with tickets selling fast for the headline UFC 267: BŁACHOWICZ vs. TEIXEIRA bout at Etihad Arena on 30 October,and a series of interactive activations and opportunities for fans to engage with some of the biggest names in UFC in the build-up to the main event.
The line-up of events includes an open workout at the W Hotel Yas Island on Wednesday 27 October, the pre-fight conference at Etihad Arena on Thursday 28 October, official weigh-ins at Etihad Arena on Friday 29 October and the main event – UFC 267, headlined by the light heavyweight title fight between champion Jan Błachowicz and the division’s No.1 contender Glover Teixeira, at Etihad Arena on Saturday 30 October. UFC 267 ticketholders can register to attend all pre-fight events and celebrations.
The stacked UFC 267 card will feature two title bouts with Petr Yan taking on Cory Sandhagenfor the interim bantamweight title in the co-main event.The highly-anticipated event also sees Islam Makhachev look to stretch his win streak to 10, in front of his loyal UAE fanbase, when he faces contender Dan Hooker, who is back in Abu Dhabi following his impressive recent victory at UFC 266 in Las Vegas. Abu Dhabi fans will also see Sweden’s KhamzatChimaev in person once again, following his electric UFC debut on UFC Fight Island in July 2020.
