Healthpoint Becomes First Hospital In Abu Dhabi To Implement Intuitive Technology System To Enhance Patient Care

Earlier this week, Healthpoint became the first hospital in Abu Dhabi to officially implement the GetWellNetwork®, an intuitive patient-care system, throughout its in-patient wards.

Patients at Healthpoint will now receive personalized support and information through the GetWell Network, upon checking in. Much like a luxury hotel, the TV screen in the rooms will welcome the patient, give them an orientation, and will also allow them to communicate with their caregivers and ask for their satisfaction review when they check out. The platform will also advise them on how to take better care of their health, and provide detailed information about the medication prescribed to them. The multi-specialty hospital celebrated the official inauguration with government officials and hospital management present, to support this milestone.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Jose Lopez, CEO of Healthpoint said:” At Healthpoint, we pride ourselves on our ability to put patients at the heart of our efforts at all times. And with the exponential growth of technology, especially within the healthcare industry, our goal is to use the latest innovations to enhance the quality of care and ultimately improve patient outcomes.”

“The GetWellNetwork provides sophisticated in-room facilities that don’t just improve efficacy of communicating with caregivers, but ensures a holistic process of treatment and recovery by involving the patient and their families in their own wellbeing” said Naser Al Riyami, Head of Clinical Services & Government Relations at Healthpoint.

The platform is now present in all in-patient rooms across the hospital, and feature three different experiences targeted at: adults, pediatric and senior-citizen care. Healthpoint plans to make the service available to out-patients in the near future.
