As the weather cools down, Yas Movies in the Park returns this October to du Arena, Yas Island for an immersive cinema experience with the musical movie Mamma Mia, and a blockbuster lineup of free films including Moana, The Lion King, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, IT and Jurassic World.
FREE to attend, the magic of the movies will come to life as the park fills up with ‘live’ action from dancers and actors from the UK West End, themed activities for kids and adults, a funfair, food trucks and bands performing hits from the movies. The first Movies in the Park held early this year received phenomenal reviews from the thousands who attended and here’s what the lineup looks like for the return of Yas Movies in the Park:
On Thursday 18th October it’s ‘Family Movie Night’ with Disney’s animated movie and musical adventures film Moana followed by dinosaur action with Jurassic World. As the sun goes down, Movies in the Park will transform for those 18 years old and above with supernatural horror film IT.
On Friday 19th October, Movies in the Park hosts an immersive cinema experience as Mamma Mia plays on the big screen and West-End dancers and actors perform and sing-along to ABBA’s hit songs which inspired the movie including Money, Money, Money; Super Trouper; Take a Chance on Me; and Thank you for the Music. You’ll be able to join in the action with audience participation and sing-along as part of the fun.
On Saturday 20th October bring your friends and family together for an afternoon of movie favourites including the Disney musical film The Lion King followed by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as the fantasy novel written by British author J. K. Rowling comes alive on the big screen. For all those Harry Potter fans out there grab your magic wands, invisibility cloaks and your sorting hats as the best fancy dress and lookalikes will get the chance to win VIP tickets.
