SENAAT Launches ‘Develop To Empower’ Training Programme At Tawdheef 2020

SENAAT, one of the largest industrial investment holding companies in the UAE, today announced the launch of ‘Develop to Empower’, programme to equip UAE Nationals with employability skills thus enhancing the competitiveness of the national workforce in line with SENAAT’s Integrated Emiratisation Strategy and Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

As part of this initiative, in the first cohort, the human capital development team will seek to register around 320 UAE Nationals at Tawdheef, where SENAAT is participating for the 8th consecutive year as an Industrial Partner.

SENAAT will also be showcasing over 100 potential job openings representing across a wide range of disciplines at the group level and across its subsidiaries, including National Petroleum Construction Company, Agthia, Emirates Steel, Al Foah, Arkan, Al Gharbia Pipe Company and Ducab.

To date, SENAAT has achieved an outstanding Emiratisation rate of 68% at holding group level, 16% across the group and 71% at the leadership level in the holding company. Over 150 Emirati employees were hired in 2019 throughout the group, overachieving the set target by 15%. In the last three years, it has successfully placed 431 Emirati employees throughout the group, while retaining a significant portion of 1,397 Emiratis in the same period.

Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of SENAAT, said: “Human capital development is an integral part of SENAAT’s mandate towards developing the UAE’s industrial sector and building a diversified, knowledge-based economy in line with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. This comes in line with the goals and directives of our wise leadership recently stated in the Policy for Advanced Industries announced by the UAE Cabinet, with an objective to attract outstanding talent and create job opportunities for Emiratis.”

Under the ‘Develop to Empower’ programme, candidates will be assessed and interviewed based on a set criterion, following which they will be assigned to SENAAT’s subsidiaries to commence the two-year incentivized programme, thus offering a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience. Upon successful completion of the training, the candidates will assume positions within the respective subsidiary.

Al Hameli pointed out that SENAAT has implemented 241 highly sophisticated training programme to date. In 2019, SENAAT and its subsidiary companies delivered 114,800 hours of training, with a target of 50% increase set for 2020.

Specialists in human capital development and recruitment from SENAAT and its subsidiaries will be present at stand A20 in Hall 3, to meet candidates to guide them and provide the necessary and useful information that will positively affect their career.

Tawdheef is taking place until January 29th at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
