Cultural Majlis with Ali Al Saloom
A series of Iftar events led by cultural expert Ali Al Saloom will aim to increase UAE residents’ knowledge of Emirati traditions, clarifying cultural dos and don’ts to help them overcome any social challenges they might be facing in their time living in the UAE. The sessions will also demonstrate ways to embrace the values of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The Cultural Majlis will be held on 11, 18 and 25 May, from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Anasheed performances

Islamic Anasheed concerts touch not just the heart, but the soul, digging deep into listeners’ relationship with Islam. Attendees will learn how Anasheed performances have been evolving through the years, speaking to the younger generations and lifting their spirits.

To celebrate creative writing during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Emirati author and scriptwriter Amal Al Duwaila has curated a special programme of workshops under the title ‘Writing to Allah. Amal will teach writers ways to enhance their creativity, build logical methods of storytelling, improve their technical skills and hone their personal writing style. The Writing Society Ramadan sessions will be held on 15 and 22 May, taking place from 10pm – 12am each evening.
