The Mall at World Trade Centre (The Mall at WTCAD), welcomed H.E. Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Department of Health in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, with Mr. Yusuff Ali, Managing Director, Lulu Group International, along with other dignitaries for yesterday’s WEQAYA Food Program inauguration. The event, held at Lulu Hypermarket, marked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) being signed between Lulu Group International and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, introducing the WEQAYA Food Program, which will see Lulu Hypermarket stock and promote WEQAYA approved food products. The agreement is currently exclusive to Lulu Hypermarket in The Mall at World Trade Centre, Abu Dhabi.
The WEQAYA Food Program was developed in close collaboration with Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) and Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, as per internationally approved standards. Healthy foods carrying the WEQAYA logo must conform to certain criteria, for example, foods be rich in minerals and vitamins, low in fat, low in salt and rich in fiber.
