Youtube Megastars Descend On Abu Dhabi For Middle East Games Con

YouTube megastars Miniminter and Syndicate are coming to Abu Dhabi to take on three days of Gaming Challenges and high-impact entertainment.

The British stars are flying in for the event at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from Thursday 25 October until Saturday 27 October to play against each other, the public, and some local influencers – live on stage.

Miniminter started his life as a regular feature in KSI’s sketches before he eventually created his own channel, quickly becoming one of the most viewed FIFA YouTubers on the platform.

Known for his football skills both on and off the pitch, Simon’s channel became synonymous with football and FIFA challenges. Nowadays his primary focus is on vlogging – documenting the everyday antics of himself, his friends and the adventures they go on. Simon lives in the Sidemen House, alongside other Youtubers KSI (JJ), who was part of Dubai’s Summer Surprises in August, and Vikkstar & Zerkaa who attended Middle East Games Con in 2017.

Also joining the event is Syndicate. Syndicate has sky-rocketed to success with over 12-Million subscribers and over 2.5-Billion views on YouTube. His Twitter fans number over 2.3-Million; Facebook fans over 1.4-Million; and his Instagram fans over 1.6-Million.

The internet megastar has worked consistently with Warner Bros., Microsoft, Blizzard, Geico, NVIDIA and many more international brands. He co-created and starred in the hit mobile game Zombie Killer Squad (ZKS), which reached over 1-Million downloads in just 9 days. The game currently has over 5-Million downloads and 100,000 daily users. Along with starting his own Syndicate Originals clothing brand, Syndicate co-founded the company 3BLACKDOT and MCN Jetpak, which garners over 1-Billion YouTube views.

The appearances at Middle East Games Con will be alongside other stars including regional pro game team Nasr Esports; Voice Actors of Mercy (Overwatch) and Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher), Lucie Pohl and Doug Cockle; over ten Japanese entertainment acts including beatboxers and Samurai performers along with regional influencers for an East Vs West playoff.

Lucie Pohl, best known for playing Mercy in wildly popular Overwatch franchise. Lucie Pohl is a German-American television and film actress who is also the voice of Mercy from Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch and Rixxa Fluxflame from World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, as well as other various voices on Hearthstone. Her extensive list of on-screen credits includes appearances on Red Dwarf XI, Showtime’s Homeland and Warner Bros. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Doug Cockle is an American actor and director living in the United Kingdom. For over 20 years he has worked in theatre, film, television, radio and has worked extensively in the video games industry and is primarily known for his work as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher video game series as well as Horizon Zero Dawn and Division. Doug has been the voice of Geralt since the series began in 2007 and has been nominated for several awards for his work with this character.

Middle East Games Con, the region’s premier gaming festival, will take place from October 25th – 27th at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) where gaming fans from across all platforms can expect the latest content, releases and activities from the biggest names in the industry. The event continues to be the centre of gaming culture and has become the established launch venue for all the major brands and publishers in the region.
