SCCI Takes Part In The 10th SIAL Middle East 2019 In Abu Dhabi

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, represented by the Sharjah Exports Development Authority, SEDC, is taking part in the 10th edition of SIAL Middle East 2019 in Abu Dhabi, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.

The SIAL Middle East 2019 is being held under the theme “Defining Innovation in the Food, Beverage & Hospitality Industry” from 9 to 11 December.

Through a platform including representatives of a large number of national food industry companies in the Emirate of Sharjah, the SCCI’s participation aims to explore investment opportunities available in the food industry sector, highlight Sharjah’s food sector products, and open new export markets.

Providing Export Solutions

Abdul Aziz Shattaf, SCCI’s Assistant General Director, Members Services Sector and SEDC’s Director, said: “Our participation comes as part of the SCCI’s keenness on promoting national food products, paving the way for a perfect environment supportive to local exports while raising their competitiveness by providing export solutions and methods, boosting products marketing and exports developments, and providing the opportunity for participating companies to make deals and discuss cooperation mechanisms with other stakeholders.”

“The SCCI’s strategic plan pays great attention to bolstering the food industry sector in parallel with Sharjah’s eagerness to achieve food security. Our participation in such pioneering exhibitions would help enhance the SCCI’s efforts in promoting food corporations and increase their export rates. Also, the participants will have the chance to learn more about the latest developments of the food and beverage sector at the global level,” he explained.

“The SEDC’s platform is eager to receive visitors, businessmen, and investors to introduce the investment opportunities in the Emirate of Sharjah, particularly in the food industry sector,” Shattaf concluded.

The “SIAL Middle East” exhibition, Abu Dhabi, is part of a series of “SIAL” exhibitions held in Paris, Shanghai, Montreal, and Buenos Aires.

Launched in Paris 1964, SIAL is one of the world’s leading exhibitions in food industries, where food manufacturers, suppliers, and all those interested in the food industry around the world come together to learn closely about the latest innovations and conclude business deals.
